During the night Slalom at Madonna di Campiglio, there is a new innovation for the World Cup skiers and their entourages: Technogym is setting up a warm-up area for athletes, whilst a 10-meters long tunnel linked to the “Starthouse” will host the forthcoming moments before the start
67 years of history, a one and only secret: keeping up-to-date ahead of time. During the night slalom at Madonna di Campiglio, 3Tre Committee - always focused on athletes’ needs - in agreement with FIS (International Ski Federation), will be at the centre of the World Cup’s innovation again. This might bring a revolution of the World ski champions’ rituals before the starting point.
The “Classic” competition at Madonna di Campiglio is ready to host a forward-looking starting area - which for the first time is equipped with a “warm-up area” specifically designed for athletes’ warm-up and set up in partnership with Technogym - world wellness leading company funded in Italy. Moreover, a tunnel linked to the “Starthouse” will host the athletes in the moments before the start of the FIS Slalom World Cup on Friday, 22nd December (first manche at 5.45PM, second manche at 8.45PM).
The warm-up moment is one of the secret for an excellent performance - thanks to Technogym the athletes competing in the 64th edition of 3Tre will be able to train in an indoor gym, close to the “Starthouse”, featuring stretching pads, group cycles, kettlebells, accessories by ARKE and active sitting wellness balls.
This equipment is designed to meet every needs of the rapid gates champions, who will compete along the tricky “Canalone Miramonti”, improved thanks to the feedbacks by the Italian alpine ski athletes.
Besides the warm-up, 3Tre Committee also thought of another important moment before the competition starts, concentration. The 10-meters tunnel - directly linked to the starting gate - has been created exactly for this reason. Not only athletes will be able to access the tunnel, but also their trainers offering to TV viewer a unique and unreleased point of view of this emotional competition.
“We are proud of Madonna di Campiglio being always at the centre of these interesting tests - Lorenzo Conci, President of 3Tre Committee, said - and we are sure that athletes will positively embrace them. The support by FIS and the wellness leading company Technogym have turned out to be fundamental to succeed in this project. To us, it is very important to face and work in partnership with players of such quality and know-how”.
