3Tre President Conci from Brescia: “We only lacked the cold, now we are full speed ahead towards December 22nd. I have a feeling it will be better than in 2014!”
The news had been expected for a couple of days, and now everything became official: Saturday, November 28th, the winter season will be open for the Skiarea Campiglio-Dolomiti di Brenta. The big drop in temperature, despite the absence of a major phenomena, means that now there are 440.000 cubic meters of snow distributed by the cannons on the slopes of the ski area, including 28.000 on the Canalone Miramonti. The historic 3Tre track is once again dressed in white, and awaits the arrival of those who are looking to challenge it on December 22nd, in Audi FIS Ski World Cup night slalom.
While waiting for the “invasion” of the skiers, Madonna di Campiglio and the 3Tre Committee continue to travel and meet their public. Wednesday, November 25, 3Tre Committee’s President Lorenzo Conci visited the Pedavena factory in Levico Terme (Trentino, Italy), to meet the ski schools and ski clubs in Valsugana and Veneto, while on Thursday, November 26th, he was in Brescia to promote Madonna di Campiglio in an informal night event at the Areadocks lounge bar and restaurant.
Here, 3Tre attended the winter season presentation held by the Madonna di Campiglio Pinzolo-Val Rendena Tourism Board: a calendar with many events, of which the Canalone Miramonti classic boasts the biggest international profile. Hundreds of people – fans, VIP guests and experts – came to the location in Brescia, thus having the opportunity to taste the special atmosphere that everyone will feel on December 22nd, in the Pearl of the Dolomites.
President Conci took the floor during the evening, confirming his hopes are high for the 62nd edition of the 3Tre: “We feel fortunate to have the support of an amazing Skiarea such as the Campiglio-Dolomiti di Brenta and to have a partner such as Funivie Campiglio: thanks to their efforts, last year a major work like the creation of the Montagnoli Lake basin was realized, and it will be able to provide snow for all our slopes – including the Canalone Miramonti – season after season. We had to wait for the cold a little, but it has eventually arrived and now our slopes are ready give the thousands of people many opportunities to have fun; we hope to find them, and many others as well, in the 3Tre audience.”
“These weeks are for us a period of intense commitment, technical, organizational and promotional: we are traveling this year even more than in past seasons, but the feedbacks that keep coming motivate us to continue with even more determination. In our sport, more than in others, it is very difficult to make predictions, but I feel and hope that the 2015 edition will exceed last year’s great result in terms of public: this would be the most beautiful way to celebrate our permanent return to World Cup calendar”, President Conci concluded.
