A wonderful sunny day welcomed the 65th 3Tre Audi FIS World Cup Slalom in Madonna di Campiglio. The first run held today, Saturday 22 December at 15.45 CET displayed a quite different scene waiting for the iconic night picture with Canalone Miramonti’s crowded slope enlightened for the 2md run, scheduled at 18:45 CET.
The first half of the oldest World Cup alpine ski event in Italy put the two main favourites in the spotlights. Austria's Marcel Hirscher clocked the 1st run' best time(47.83) ahead of Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen (+0.14), Austrian Marco Schwarz, Switzerland's Daniel Yule and Loic Meillard.
Meantime. the alpine ski’s next gen gained positions too, as French Clement Noel (21) got the sixth spot and Italian Alex Vinatzer (19) the eighth. 2010 Olympic Champion Giuliano Razzoli was 10th after the first descent.
