On the occasion of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Night Slalom, the former skier from Abetone who conquered the Maglia Fulmine (Fulmine jersey) at 1961/62 3Tre Combined competition (where he also won the giant slalom), wore again the jersey reintroduced by 3Tre Committee in partnership with Falconeri during the Welcome Gala at "Salone Hofer" on Friday, December 21st
The prestigious "Salone Hofer" in Madonna di Campiglio hosted the traditional 3Tre Welcome Gala before the Audi FIS SKi World Cup Night Slalom, which is scheduled today on Saturday, December 22nd on Canalone Miramonti Slope - first run 3.45PM CET, second run: 6.45PM CET. It was 1962 and 3Tre was at its 13th edition boasting the format on Three races in Trentino. Downhill and slalom took place on Pancugolo slope, while giant slalom on Spinale slope. The Combined competition's result - the ranking which historically awarded Maglia Fulmine - went to Milianti who won against Austrian Hias Leitner and fellow countryman Bruno Alberti.
Yesterday these feelings of an pioneering alpine ski era were felt, whilst the President of 3Tre Committee Lorenzo Conci honored another great Abetone-based skier Zeno Colò, winner of the very first 3Tre edition in 1950.
Last November, 3Tre already celebrated Colò and Milianti at Abetone by visiting the first home of the unforgettable Tuscany-based champion and then meeting Milianti with the historical representatives of Sci Club Abetone.
