A varied program of side events will set up the slalom show on December 22nd
Those who are familiar with it, know very well that 3Tre is more than a charming sports classic, more than a ski celebration, but it’s actually a festival for the whole Madonna di Campiglio. The Canalone Miramonti’s race is a big piece of the Pearl of the Dolomites’ heart and culture, and every time the spotlights turn on over the World Cup champions, a whole village – residents and tourists – lights up at a time.
Pursuant to this tradition, the 3Tre Committee and its partners again setup a varied program of side events, mixing sport and culture, music and fun, that ultimately will enhance the experience of everyone who will choose to live the 3Tre from the inside, even of those who know little about Hirscher, Neureuther and the White Circus, but eager to feel all the shivers the Canalone Miramonti night can produce.
On the event’s eve, on Monday December 21st, SciVolando sul Novecento will inaugurate the program at the Salone Hofer (Madonna di Campiglio) from 18.00: a talk show on history, sport and folklore, featuring journalist Massimo Bernardini, Colmar’s President Mario Colombo, and two great champion of Alpine and Cross Country ski respectively, Giorgio Rocca and Gabriella Paruzzi.
On Tuesday December 22nd, there will be more dancing than the one between rapid gates: at 15.30, the Bifunk Brass Band will start animating the city center in Madonna di Campiglio, with the Christmas’ street markets adding to the charming atmosphere. At 16.30, the local schools’ students will free up their energy and enthusiasm on the Belvedere slope with “Color Ski”.
The official opening of the Canalone Miramonti is scheduled at 16.30: music, Fan TV and entertainment will accompany the ski fans all the way until the first descent, at 17.45.
In the interval between the two runs, the 3Tre Hour will take place in the heart of Campiglio, with the Forst gazebo bars, the entertainment by Andrea and Michele from Radio Deejay and the special celebration for the 10-year anniversary of Giorgio Rocca’s success at 3Tre, also featuring a special guest. Those looking for some dinner between the two runs will report to Piazza Brenta Alta, where they will find Snowlicious, the original high-mountain food truck: an actual snow cat with gourmet cousine, powered by Audi.
From 20.45, everybody will hold the breath for the decisive second run. After that, the 3Tre party night will start in Madonna di Campiglio. Music, fun, athletes and VIPs to celebrate Christmas, and put the icing on the cake of a special day. After all, who would ever go to sleep after emotions like those?
