Conci: “3Tre’s public is the greatest deal for us”
After weeks travelling through Italy, for once the 3Tre promotional tour stopped by home, with two events in Trentino on Thursday and Friday, December 3 and 4.
On Thursday night, a Castle opened its gate for one of the Queens of World Alpine Ski: Madonna di Campiglio is one of just five of the current World Cup venues (Vail, Wengen, Kitzbuhel and Adelboden being the others) to have been part also of the first ever World Cup edition in 1967, as recalled by 3Tre committee’s historical expert Paolo Luconi Bisti, during the presentation in the beautiful Castel Pietra in Calliano (Trento, Italy).
Before of him, 3Tre President Lorenzo Conci and Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Office President Marco Masè took the floor to invite all the people to make unforgettable the 62nd edition of the 3Tre, the first since the permanent return of the night slalom in the Audi FIS Ski World Cup calendar. Attending the presentation were also two well-known characters in Italian alpine ski – former athlete Davide Simoncelli and Irene Curtoni of the Women’s National team.
“3Tre would not be the same event, and probably would not be in the World Cup, without the amazing public it has, year after year,” President Lorenzo Conci stated, “so we invite you all to join us on the Canalone Miramonti for another major party.”
“Last year – Marco Masè said – our slalom was the most watched on TV in the World Cup, with over 100 million TV contacts. A fantastic result, one that we are really proud of and that should give us further motivation. “
On Friday December 4th, 3Tre also participated in the presentation of the Trentino’s FISI Committee events in Cadino di Faedo (Trentino, Italy).
Today, Saturday, the second weekend since the opening of the winter season has started. Thousands of ski passionates had fun on the 46 km of slopes already open in the area, snow-covered thanks to the Montagnoli Lake basin. Great works in progress on the Canalone Miramonti: lights will be on in just more than two weeks.
