Before the night slalom of Friday December 22nd, the National Teams will have the opportunity to train on the Nambino slope from Monday December 18th
The World Cup circus is coming to Madonna di Campiglio. Warming up the atmosphere and the expectations for the Night Slalom of Friday December 22nd (1st run 17:45, 2nd run 20:45) will be the slalom stars, some of whom will be making their way to Madonna already on Monday December 18th.
This time, the Canalone Miramonti will not be the testing ground for the athletes in the days preceding the Friday’s showdown: due to the recent snowfalls, the temperature and weather forecast, the need to solidify the slope’s base led to the decision – agreed and shared by the FIS – not to make the Canalone Miramonti available for trainings. On the other hand, the Nambino slope will be perfectly set up and water-injected to provide ideal conditions for all the national teams to refine their shape before the 64th 3Tre.
“The snow conditions on the slope are very good, as confirmed by the FIS Snow Control – 3Tre President Lorenzo Conci said – but these days’ weather required an extra effort from the team of Slope Director Adriano Alimonta, and so we opted for a precautionary choice in agreement with the International Federation, in order to provide the perfect conditions for the athletes on December 22nd, and a great show for those who will come to enjoy it. Meantime, we are preparing and water-injecting the Nambino slope, to give all the national teams the best opportunity to train before the event, which is especially important for the athletes with less than two months before the Olympic selections.”
