Awaiting the Night Slalom: public bib draw, side events, and ski stars at 3Tre’s Epiphany Eve

January 5, 2026

In Madonna di Campiglio, Epiphany will always be synonymous with the 3Tre eve and its ski champions, both past and present. Ahead of Wednesday's showdown on the Canalone Miramonti slope, the 72nd 3Tre will open on Tuesday, January 6th, with a day dedicated to the icons and legends of alpine skiing who have made 3Tre history, as well as the current stars who are dreaming of creating its next chapter. The FIS World Cup Night Slalom will take place on Wednesday, January 7th, with two runs at 6 pm and 9 pm.

The magic of the 3Tre won't be confined to its main stage, the Canalone Miramonti. Tomorrow, the programme begins at 4:00 pm at Pala Campiglio, where Paolo De Chiesa and Kristian Ghedina will fill the wait with stories and memories from their careers. The two former champions will present their books with Eurosport Italy ski commentator Zoran Filicic moderating, sharing anecdotes, achievements, dreams realised or only imagined, moments of glory and hard falls.

From 4:30 pmPiazza Sissi and Piazza Righi come alive with the opening of the 3Tre Village. Stands, music and entertainment will set the tone for the Night Slalom, alongside the champions who have written its history, including Alberto Tomba and 3Tre Ambassador Giorgio Rocca – the last two Italian winners of the Madonna di Campiglio World Cup slalom, thirty and twenty years ago respectively.

They will be joined by Giuliano Razzoli, Olympic slalom champion at Vancouver 2010, three more former 3Tre winners – Marc GirardelliIvano Edalini and Ole Kristian Furuseth – as well as Paolo De ChiesaKristian Ghedina and Francesca Dallapé, Olympic silver medallist in diving at the Rio 2016 Games.

At 5:30 pm, the Warm Up in Piazza Sissi provides the lead-in to the highlight of the evening, the public bib draw at 6:30 pm. The fifteen top-ranked slalom skiers discover their starting numbers – and a first hint of their fate on the slope – before, at 7:00 pm, the Italian national slalom team takes centre stage for a warm and symbolic moment with the crowd.

The first run of the Night Slalom is scheduled for Wednesday, January 7th, at 6:00 pm, with festivities beginning earlier in the afternoon at 4:00 pm with the opening of the 3Tre Village and the Warm Up in Piazza Sissi. Musical entertainment is planned in Piazza Sissi at 7:30 pm, between the two runs. After the race concludes at around 10:15 pm, the traditional 3Tre Party brings the flagship event of Madonna di Campiglio to a close.

“The 3Tre is not just a race; it is a celebration that runs through the whole of Madonna di Campiglio, a story of passion that touches every corner of our destination,” said 3Tre President Lorenzo Conci“Each edition is a unique opportunity to experience emotions that go beyond the stopwatch and to feel part of a tradition that has brought together champions and fans for over 75 years.”
