For the last time, the 3Tre resumes its journey across the slopes of Trentino before making Madonna di Campiglio its permanent home. And, for the first time, an exceptional competitor joins the field: Aga Khan Karim, racing for Great Britain and accompanied by his personal ski instructor, Hans Senger, and two striking German blondes.
In the downhill, more than thirty of the eighty starters fail to reach the finish line. Egon Zimmermann claims victory ahead of Nenning and Alberti. This is also the edition that launches Italy’s Carletto Senoner into the ranks of skiing’s great champions. The latest talent discovered by coach Ermanno Nogler, Senoner makes his mark by winning both slalom races.
