Madonna di Campiglio lies buried under snow as it hosts the eleventh edition of the 3Tre. Austria’s Pepi Gramshammer immediately stakes his claim to the Maglia Fulmine, winning the giant slalom on Spinale in almost impossible weather conditions. The race is delayed until 3 p.m., and his winning time is an extraordinary 4 minutes and 40 seconds.
The following day, Michel Arpin claims victory in the slalom on the 5 Laghi slope. The final downhill then turns into a French showcase, with seven French skiers finishing among the top eight.
