February 1965, Madonna di Campiglio
The strength of the French school is once again on full display in the 16th edition of the 3Tre, with Jules Melquiond claiming victory in both the giant slalom and the slalom.
The overall combined title, however, goes to Austria’s Heini Messner, who finishes third in the downhill on Pancugolo and second in the giant slalom.
There is also reason to celebrate for the local skiers, with Renato Valentini finishing an impressive fourth in the downhill and tenth in the slalom.
