19–20 December 1983, Madonna di Campiglio – Val Gardena (World Cup)
A lack of snow forces the organisers to change the programme: the scheduled Super-G is moved to Val Gardena, where Swiss star Pirmin Zurbriggen claims victory.
On the Miramonti, however, King Stenmark reigns one last time. The Swedish legend takes his 74th World Cup victory — and his 36th in slalom — in what will prove to be his final triumph at the 3Tre.
