16–17 December 1984, Madonna di Campiglio (World Cup)
Bojan Križaj, Marc Girardelli and Andreas Wenzel: three great champions leave their mark on the December 1984 edition of the 3Tre.
Yugoslavia’s Križaj finally claims victory in the slalom. Luxembourg’s Marc Girardelli — one of the greatest all-round skiers in history, with five overall World Cup titles and 46 World Cup victories — scores the only win of his career in Madonna di Campiglio, triumphing in the Super-G.
Liechtenstein’s Andreas Wenzel, meanwhile, wins the combined, the last time this event is contested in 3Tre history. The Italian team finishes the edition without a victory.
