December 1989, Madonna di Campiglio (World Cup – Organised but Not Raced)
December 1989 proves to be one of the unluckiest editions in 3Tre history. Everything is ready for the race: spectators crowd the fences along the Miramonti, while all the athletes are already gathered at the start.
Only the green light for the first racer is missing. But before anyone can leave the start gate, an unwelcome downpour takes centre stage. The heavy rain threatens the fairness and safety of the competition, leaving the organisers with no choice but to cancel the race.
