At just 21 years of age, Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen claims his first victory in the Trentino classic and the fifth World Cup slalom win of his young career.
But the evening is also remembered for a dramatic and unprecedented incident during the second run, when a drone used by the international TV production crashes onto the course just metres behind Marcel Hirscher. Fortunately, no one is injured.
The incident does not affect the Austrian’s performance, as Hirscher finishes second ahead of compatriot Marco Schwarz. Italy also delivers a strong showing, with Giuliano Razzoli fourth and Manfred Mölgg eighth.
