3Tre honors its legends on the eve of the 70th edition

As the 70th edition of the 3Tre looms, set for tonight, December 22nd, with the first run at 5:45 PM and the second at 8:45 PM (CET), Madonna di Campiglio marked this milestone with a commemorative evening.

The Chalet Spinale's Champions' Dinner shone the spotlight on eight historic victors from the Canalone Miramonti and numerous ski personalities from recent years.

Many of the event’s special guests also featured in "3Tre Madonna di Campiglio - The Night Slalom," a documentary produced and recently launched by the 3Tre Committee, celebrating the event's extraordinary saga.

Alpine ski legend Alberto Tomba, renowned for his stellar performances on the Canalone Miramonti, was in attendance alongside former rivals and Campiglio champions Marc Girardelli, Jure Kosir, and Bojan Krizaj, all of them winners in Madonna.

The dinner also featured tales from other memorable Canalone Miramonti victors, including Piero Gros, Ivano Edalini, Giorgio Rocca, and Mario Matt. Kristian Ghedina, the celebrated speed skier of the '90s, was also present, ever a favorite in Campiglio, despite not clinching a win on the Miramonti, as was former Italian slalom and GS specialist Manfred Moelgg.

Among former athletes, the now-voices of ski broadcasting Tina Maze, Francesca Marsaglia, Alberto Schieppati, and Didier Plachy also shared their insights.

The allure of 3Tre extends beyond skiing, drawing figures from other sports such as Trentino cycling legends Francesco Moser, Gilberto Simoni, Daniel Oss, and the prodigious Italian athlete Yeman Crippa.

A constellation of champions gathered to honor an enduring legacy, with spectators eagerly anticipating who will next inscribe their name in the annals of 3Tre. As the 70th edition unfolds, another page of this incredible narrative awaits.
