3Tre Madonna di Campiglio Night Slalom returns to Christmas time on December 23, 2026
After two editions held in the Epiphany period, the Madonna di Campiglio night slalom returns to its traditional pre-Christmas slot on – exceptionally – December 23rd

One of the Alpine Ski World Cup's great classics returns in its traditional Christmas atmosphere. On Wednesday, December 23rd, 2026, Madonna di Campiglio will host the 73rd 3Tre, the Night Slalom on the Canalone Miramonti, one of the most iconic events on the FIS World Cup calendar.
After two editions held in the Epiphany period, the 3Tre returns to its traditional pre-Christmas slot for its 73rd edition. Exceptionally, the race will take place on December 23rd rather than the customary December 22nd. Race times for both runs remain unchanged, with the first run at 17:45 CET and the second at 20:45 CET.
The date shift from December 22nd to 23rd, announced by the International Ski Federation (FIS) during the meeting held in Portorož, Slovenia, will allow for adequate organizational lead time within the World Cup calendar, while ensuring that the Madonna di Campiglio race retains its unique character and high quality.
Returning to Christmas time will allow fans to fully experience the renowned 3Tre atmosphere: from the traditional bib draw in Piazza Sissi to the side events leading up to the big night on the Canalone Miramonti. This unique setting brings together sport, entertainment and tradition in the heart of the Dolomites.
"The pre-Christmas slot is the one we are traditionally tied to, and the most suitable for the destination," said 3Tre Committee President Lorenzo Conci. "The 3Tre is part of the history of Madonna di Campiglio and the World Cup. Returning to the Christmas period allows us to rediscover the atmosphere that has made this race truly unique on the international stage over the years. The timeline identified by the FIS will also enable us to prepare for the event, while safeguarding its identity, organizational quality, and spectacular nature. We are already working on another exciting edition - the second of the year, which got off to the best possible start with the triumph of a champion like Clement Noël.”
