A decade ago, the 3Tre and Madonna di Campiglio officially reclaimed their permanent spot on the AUDI FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. Over these ten years, the Italian slalom classic has consolidated its position and grown, rewarding the trust of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and striving to offer an increasingly comprehensive and unique experience to the vast community of ski enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

These have been ten years of projects, shared visions, and future planning, both within the 3Tre committee and with the local partners, as well as in the relationship with FIS. This bond was renewed, as per tradition, in the summer of 2024 with the customary visit of the official delegation. Markus Waldner (Chief Race Director of the Men's World Cup) and Janez Hladnik (Race Director of the World Cup for technical disciplines) were accompanied on the Canalone Miramonti – Madonna di Campiglio's historic slalom course – by Massimo Rinaldi representing FISI (Italian Winter Sports Federation) and a delegation from the 3Tre Committee, led by President Lorenzo Conci.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss plans several months ahead of January 8th, the date set for the 71st 3Tre event (1st run at 17:45, 2nd run at 20:45, all CET times), and to review the latest event while sharing new proposals for the upcoming edition.

"We're grateful to FIS for the trust consistently shown by its leadership, starting with Markus Waldner," President Lorenzo Conci began. "Once again this year, the FIS team highlighted the level of technical excellence achieved by our race, a testament to the relentless work of the team led by course director Adriano Alimonta."

"Equally, they appreciated our growing commitment to everything surrounding the race – from side events to the public draw, from the gala evening to the after-race party. This is an area where we aim to grow further, with the goal of making 3Tre an increasingly unmissable event, not just for ski lovers but for a wider audience," Conci continued.

In the coming weeks, 3Tre will open online ticket sales for the World Cup slalom, which will once again put up for grabs the crown won last season by Austria's Marco Schwarz, who was cheered on by over 15,000 spectators.
