3Tre ready for its 70th edition: FIS inspection kicks off countdown to December 22nd
The Madonna di Campiglio classic took its path in view of a special edition, the 70th of the FIS Ski Alpine World Cup Night Slalom. The two runs on December 22nd will take place at 17:45 and 20:45 CET, providing the highlights for an exciting overall event
Madonna is gearing up for the 70th edition of 3Tre. The highly anticipated special edition of 3Tre, Audi FIS Ski Alpine World Cup Night Slalom, is drawing closer and is set to take place on Friday, December 22nd, on the iconic Canalone Miramonti slope.
Over the course of its 70 editions, 3Tre has earned its place as a cornerstone of the annual skiing World Cup program and stands as one of the most significant events of the Italian winter sports season.
The traditional summer inspection conducted by the FIS delegation, which included Markus Waldner, Chief Race Director of the FIS Men’s World Cup, and Janez Hladnik, Race Director of the FIS Men’s World Cup for technical disciplines, along with Massimo Rinaldi representing the Italian Winter Sports Federation, provided the opportunity for the 3Tre Committee led by President Lorenzo Conci to discuss plans for a special edition of the iconic Madonna race. During this visit, it was also confirmed that the two runs are scheduled for 17:45 and 20:45 CET.
On Thursday, September 7th, the 3Tre Committee presented its action plan to enhance the spectators’ experience, on the Canalone Miramonti, and beyond. The 70th edition of the Italian Night Slalom promises to be a stylish celebration of this milestone, featuring an even more extensive program of side events and numerous moments of interaction with the public before and after the race, as well as in the months leading up to it.
“With only 100 days remaining until the event, our preparations are in full swing," remarked 3Tre President Lorenzo Conci. "This significant anniversary, falling on a Friday night this year has inspired us to explore new ideas and initiatives. The feedback from the International Federation reassures us that we are heading in the right direction."
In the coming weeks, 3Tre will launch online ticket sales for the Night Slalom and unveil the calendar for the 3Tre on Tour, the promotional tour of the event, which will include numerous dates both in Italy and abroad. While summer still reigns in Italy, the run for the Daniel Yule crown has already commenced.
