Bib Draw: In Madonna, number 1 is Meillard's yet again

As in 2022, Swiss skier Loic Meillard will be the first to take on the Canalone Miramonti on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, as the 3Tre event in Madonna di Campiglio celebrates its historic 70th edition.

Meillard will be the first to ski down the iconic slope at 5:45 PM, aiming to break a recent curse: since the return of the 3Tre to the World Cup in 2012, no athlete with bib number 1 has managed to claim the top step of the podium.

Hot on Meillard's heels will be another Swiss, Ramon Zenhausern, followed by Henrik Kristoffersen, who with bib number 3 will seek his fourth win in the night slalom. Bib number 4 goes to the Frenchman Noel, and number 5 to Austrian Manuel Feller – winner of the first slalom at Gurgl – while Swiss Daniel Yule, the reigning champion, has drawn number 6, also chasing his fourth victory on the Canalone Miramonti.

Tommaso Sala, with bib number 11, will be the first Italian at the start gate, with Alex Vinatzer chasing a new podium at Madonna di Campiglio with number 14 after his 2020 season performance.

The two runs, scheduled for 5:45 PM and 8:45 PMCET, will be set by the Swedish team coach Enocson and the Swiss national team coach Joris.
