Runner-up last year behind Kristoffersen, the Norwegian is ready to return to the Canalone Miramonti on December 22nd, 2021 (first run: 5.45 pm, second run: 8:45 pm CET)

Last year, Sebastian Foss-Solevaag’s dreams of glory at 3Tre were spoiled by just 33 hundredths of a second from his teammate Henrik Kristoffersen. The lead after the first run and a great performance on the Canalone Miramonti, were not enough to grab his first World Cup victory at the time, though he would make up for it one month later in the slalom of Flachau, Austria.

On Wednesday December 22nd, 2021, the 30-year-old from Alesun will try to make that one last step to get on top of the podium in Madonna di Campiglio, at the Audi FIS World Cup Night Slalom (first run: 5:45pm; second run: 8:45pm CET).

“I really like the 3Tre, it is one of my favourite races and last year I came so close to winning it - said the Norwegian - It is a very cool event, a real classic of the international calendar with extra charm given by the night atmosphere. The Italian fans will be enjoy a great show once again".

After the solid performance in Val d'Isère in the first run, then wiped out by a mistake in the second one, Foss-Solevaag knows that a major result is within his reach. "The plan is always the same: ski as fast as possible and don't make mistakes. In Val d'Isère I managed to do it halfway, in Campiglio I will try to do it until the last meter.”

Differently from last year, Foss-Solevaag will also be able to count on the support of the public back on the Canalone Miramonti, though in reduced numbers. "When you feel the support of the public at the edge of the slope, there is a different energy in the air - explained the Norwegian. The love for our sport that we receive from the fans makes us feel alive".

The access to the Canalone Miramonti will be reserved to the holders of a COVID pass obtained exclusively by vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 in the last 6 months (Green Pass Rafforzato or Super Green Pass). Children under 12 years of age are exempt from presenting the Green Pass.
