From Stenmark to Tomba: 3Tre welcomes skiing royalty

Madonna di Campiglio is gearing up towards the 3Tre 71st edition and it's ready to welcome previous and today's legends of the ski world. The AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Night Slalom on the Canalone Miramonti will bring plenty of emotions to fans worldwide, starting on Tuesday, January 7, with the eve's day, and then on Wednesday, January 8, with the two runs at 17:45 and 20:45 CET.

The 2025 edition of the 3Tre is set to overwhelm the Madonna di Campiglio audience with tons of anecdotes and stories settled in the heart of the "Pearl of the Dolomites". The full program will open on January 7 at 16:00 (CET) at the Pala Campiglio, where "La Valanga Azzurra" will be aired. The docu-film by Giovanni Veronesi, expected among the guests, relives the unforgettable decade of Italian skiing in the 70s, with the National team rewriting history books.

Two members of that team, Piero Gros and Paolo De Chiesa, will receive the fans' tribute in the near Sissi Square, right ahead of the traditional bib draw. Alongside these home heroes will be the great Ingemar Stenmark: the Swedish legend is poised to celebrate the 50th year of his win on the Canalone Miramonti, dating back to December 17, 1974.

Following the top athletes of the 70s will be the ones from the 80s: Alberto Tomba, one of Italy's most popular athletes and among the most anticipated guests, and his main sport rival Marc Girardelli.

The 2025 3Tre Night Slalom will also represent the chance for home fans to celebrate the last Italian Slalom Olympic Gold medal who recently retired, Giuliano Razzoli. The winner of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics’ slalom will be the forerunner on the Canalone Miramonti, with the crowd ready to celebrate his great career. Furthermore, Razzoli will feature in a talk with Chris Hauser - young MTB Downhill rider from Trentino – with whom he shared a video project realized in collaboration with Val di Sole Bikeland and available on social networks.

However, the echo of the 3Tre goes way beyond the skiing world. Expected guests are further Italian Olympic medallists such as sailor Ruggero Tita (2x Gold in Tokyo and Paris) and Nadia Battocletti, middle and long-distance runner, Silver in the 10,000 race in Paris, and Italian singer Nina Zilli.

Once again, the hype towards the Madonna di Campiglio event is rising hour after hour. Alongside airing the movie "La Valanga Azzurra" at Pala Campiglio, the race village in Sissi Square will also open to fans from 16:00 on January 7. Plenty of music & entertainment will bring the fans to the bib draw at 18:30 first, and to the Meet&Greet by UYN at 19:30 later. On race day, January 8, the 3Tre Village will open from 10:00 featuring again entertainment for all ages. Finally, at 17:45 and 20:45, the show will be on the Canalone Miramonti slope for the two slalom runs crowning the champion of the 71st 3Tre.
