After a tight first run today over the Canalone Miramonti, with only 0:70 splitting the top three, Frenchman Clement Noel is setting the pace at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup night slalom in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, on Wednesday, December 22nd. The winner of the first seasonal slalom in Val d’Isere holds a 0:53 cushion on Norwegian Sebastian Foss-Solevaag, while Swede Kristoffer Jakobsen currently sits in third place (+0:70).

The 68th edition of 3Tre has fulfilled the expectations so far, with the 3.200 tickets for the event sold out and loud support for Italy’s Alex Vinatzer, who clocked a 46:65 time in the first run, and is still in the position to assault the top spots, though it might be tough to outplay Noel is the Frenchman manages to ski as he did in the first effort.

Two former multiple winners in Campiglio didn’t show their best effort: three-time champion Henrik Kristoffersen holds the seventh spot behind Vinatzer, but with 1:34 to make up on Noel, whilst Swiss Daniel Yule, a two-time champion himself, ended way behind and is out of the top-30
