Tomba and Girardelli at 3Tre: stars are shining in Campiglio

The champions from the past are coming back to Madonna. The public bib draw will be held in Madonna on Tuesday evening, open to 500 spectators

Those who have been at 3Tre at least once know that the show in Madonna di Campiglio goes well beyond the FIS World Cup Night Slalom, mixing sports and glamour in a unique way.

On one hand, today's champions will be the starts of a night show over the two runs on the Canalone Miramonti; the legends of the past are ready to add to the 3Tre magic. When the likes of Alberto Tomba and Marc Girardelli return to Madonna, the memory tape starts playing.

Great rivals between the 80s and the 90s, Tomba and Girardelli did not want to miss the appointment with the great classic. Both wrote historical pages at the 3Tre: Tomba's name sits among the top winners with three slalom successes (1987, 1988, 1995), while Girardelli triumphed in Campiglio in the 1984 Super-G, the last time this specialty appeared at the 3Tre event.

One year after an edition behind closed doors, the 3Tre Committee has also set up a calendar of collateral events, meant to ignite the hearts and the passion of the fans in view of the Night Slalom of Wednesday, December 22nd.

On the eve of the Night Slalom, on Tuesday, December 21st, the public bib draw will return to Piazza Sissi at 6:30 CET, featuring the top-7 seeds of the World Ranking. The event will be open to 500 spectators, who must be in possession of a COVID pass obtained exclusively by vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 within the last 6 months (Italy’s Green Pass Rafforzato).

Before the public bib draw, Marc Girardelli, Giorgio Rocca and Paolo Luconi Bisti, the author of the book "The Great History of 3Tre", will take the stage for a charming journey back in time.

After the bib draw, Piazza Sissi’s spotlights will be for the athletes of the Italian Slalom National Team selected for 3Tre, presented by local athlete Laura Pirovano. Italian newspaper “La Ragione” will also hold a moment of presentation.

On Wednesday, December 22nd, music and entertainment between the two runs will be brought by Radio Deejay, whilst big personalities of the cycling world such as Francesco Moser, Maurizio Fondriest and Gilberto Simoni and Eurosport cycling commentator Riccardo Magrini will introduce the top summer events in the area.

In addition to the Top Dolomites Granfondo on June 18th, 2022, this summer events calendar in Madonna di Campiglio includes the MTB Marathon Master World Championships on June 26th, 2022, and a new event dedicated to e-bikes and ski mountaineering scheduled for April 10th, 2022.

More than 3000 tickes have been made available for purchase by the 3Tre Committee, exclusively online at www.3trecampiglio.it. The access to the Canalone Miramonti will be reserved to the holders of a COVID pass obtained exclusively by vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 in the last 6 months (Green Pass Rafforzato or Super Green Pass). Children under 12 years of age are exempt from presenting the Green Pass.
