There was a time, a few decades ago, when thousands of people traveled to Madonna di Campiglio on the occasion of each 3Tre slalom, hoping to enjoy the latest masterpiece by a youngster come from Castel de' Britti, Bologna. The age of Alberto Tomba ended nearly 25 years ago, but Bologna and its people still feel a special relationship with 3Tre. 

The friendship among Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Bologna was celebrated on Saturday, December 4th, and Sunday, December 5th, when a delegation of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Board and the Municipality of Pinzolo reached the Emilian capital to promote the upcoming 3Tre Audi FIS Ski World Cup Night Slalom, to be held on Wednesday, December 22nd, and the 2021/22 winter season.

On the occasion of Serie A’s match between Bologna FC 1909 and Fiorentina, the club and its manager Sinisa Mihajlovic welcomed the 3Tre and the iconic Crystal Globe, the trophy of FIS World Cup's overall winner. Bologna FC is linked to Val Rendena by a long-term partnership: since 2019, this holds plays its pre-seasonal training camp in Pinzolo. This occasion contributed to reinforcing the strategic synergy between the Bologna FC and the Val Rendena.

During the pre-match press conference, also attended by Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board’s President Tullio Serafini, the Mayor of Pinzolo Michele Cereghini and Pinzolo’s Great Events Councilor Giuseppe Corradini, the Serbian coach recalled an anecdote dating back to his past at Stella Rossa Belgrad, when the Champions League trophy followed the club in all away games like the Crystal Globe travels with the 3Tre on Tour. 

“The collaboration with the Bologna FC is very important for our territory”, explained Serafini. – “Pinzolo will be the location of the Bologna FC’s pre-seasonal training camp again next year and we are happy about this. Bologna is a sporting city as Madonna di Campiglio: our stadium is the Canalone Miramonti, the home of the 3Tre Night Slalom, the most important and strategic event of our winter season”.

“3Tre’s media attention is the secret of a winter season started in the best way”, said the Mayor of Pinzolo Cereghini. – “The Skiarea and our destinations offer high-level ski tracks and experiences with great attention to safety. The feedbacks of the first weeks of activity are very positive”.

Madonna di Campiglio and the Crystal Globe took the center stage in Sunday’s Serie A match between Bologna and Fiorentina played at the Dall’Ara Stadium. In the phases preceding the kick-off, the Trentino local authorities invited the fans to Madonna di Campiglio for the winter season and the Night Slalom scheduled on December 22nd (first run: 17.45, second run: 20.45 CET).

Before the match and during the halftime, Bologna FC’s stadium hosted a 3Tre moment, offering fans a unique occasion to take a photo with the Crystal Globe: a unique souvenir, waiting for the magic night on the Canalone Miramonti slope.
