3Tre on Tour heads to Rome as expectation grows for December 22nd

After hosting its Tour for the sixth time in seven years (with 2020 being the only off year due to the pandemic), Rome feels like home for the 3Tre, the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Night Slalom to be held on Thursday, December 22nd in Madonna di Campiglio (first run: 5.45 PM CET, second run 8.45 PM CET).

The appointment with the 3Tre on Tour in Rome is scheduled for Thursday, November 10th, when the promotional event of the oldest Italian ski-race classic will be hosted in the Municipality building, the Palazzo Senatorio in Campidoglio, in the prestigious Sala Laudato sì

Main actors of the event, starting at 12.00 pm CET, will be the President of the 3Tre Committee Lorenzo Conci, the President of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Board Tullio Serafini, the 3Tre historian Paolo Luconi Bisti, and former 3Tre winners Ivano Edalini (1986) and Giorgio Rocca, the most recent Italian winner to date (2005). Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Great Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion of Roma Capitale, will do the honours, while TV journalist Silvia Vaccarezza will anchor the event.

On the occasion, 3Tre will tell its story between past and present through videos and exclusive images from the Bisti archive. A journey that will recall the most important moments of the competition, made even more exciting by the presence of the "Crystal Globe", the award for the World Cup winner, that is accompanying the 3Tre Committee since the first appointment of the promotional tour.

"By now we feel at home in Rome, since we have been presenting 3Tre and the winter novelties of the Madonna area for many years to outstanding personalities of the sport world, who have always loved supported our destination and its most prestigious event". - said Tullio Serafini, President of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board. - "Having an event of 3Tre’s history and prestige for us means the opportunity of showcasing our territory in a dynamic and emotional way, consistent with the innovative approach and solutions we bring to our tourism offer, both in both the winter and summer seasons.”

Saturday 19 November is the most eagerly awaited day for those who love skiing in Madonna di Campiglio. In just over two weeks' time, depending on the weather, the first opening weekend of the lifts in the Campiglio-Dolomiti di Brenta Skiarea and in the Grosté area is expected to take place.

Tickets for the Madonna di Campiglio night slalom (first run: 5.45 pm CET, second run: 8.45 pm CET) are on sale on official website, 3trecampiglio.it.
