In seventy editions, the 3Tre of Madonna di Campiglio has written many stories worthy of film: after all, with great protagonists, thrilling screenplays, breathtaking twists, and the unique backdrops of the Brenta Dolomites, there have certainly been no shortage of ingredients.

On Monday, December 4, the 3Tre took to the stage of the Giunti Odeon cinema, the beautiful historic location renovated by Giunti in the historic center of Florence to become, in addition to a cinema, also a bookstore, cafe, and an event venue.

The occasion was, of course, to present the edition of the great slalom classic scheduled for Friday, December 22 on the Canalone Miramonti (1st run at 17:45, 2nd run at 20:45), and to do so in light of its history and great champions.

Indeed, Giunti has been the publisher of "3Tre - The Great History," the book by 3Tre historian Paolo Luconi Bisti, dedicated to the extraordinary journey of the event, from the 1950s to the present day, through words and previously unpublished photographs extracted from the Bisti archive, started by Paolo’s father Giovanni Battista, who arrived in Campiglio in the '40s, and then continued by his son.

The presence of three great winners of the 3Tre like Piero Gros (1972 in slalom and 1974 in giant slalom), Ivano Edalini (1986 in slalom), and Giorgio Rocca (2005 in slalom) made the evening at Giunti Odeon even more unique and captivating. With their own voices, they unveiled the emotions and behind-the-scenes stories of the feats narrated by Paolo Luconi Bisti, following the introduction by Francesco Zamichieli, Director of Special Initiatives at Giunti, and the President of the 3Tre Committee Lorenzo Conci.

The dialogue with the champions started from their feats at Madonna di Campiglio - "a victory that is worth a career," according to Edalini, "a day that has remained in the memory of people, which even today makes us understand that we have achieved something important," Rocca recalls, and then expanded to reflections on the world of skiing. "I am grateful to the 3Tre and those who create the conditions to communicate and tell the story of skiing, bringing it closer to people, which is what our sport needs today more than ever," commented Piero Gros.

"To tell the story of the 3Tre and to recount the history of Madonna di Campiglio is, in many ways, the same thing," added Paolo Luconi Bisti. "In this event, an entire town is reflected, which has intensely lived through its successes and difficult moments, and in some way, the 3Tre marks the time and phases of this collective history. It is a strong and fascinating identification, one that lit up the passion that characterized my own personal and family story, passed down from my father to me."

The emotion of the evening at Giunti Odeon also involved the President of the 3Tre Committee Lorenzo Conci: "I want to thank Giunti above all for believing in the 3Tre, sharing with us the journey that led us to the publication of '3Tre - The Great History,' but also for the closeness and passion they show in hosting a night like this. 3Tre actually has something special: as Paolo's story shows, and mine too, the passion for this event is something that never fades. One of the things I like, in the many encounters promoted by our '3Tre on Tour', is to listen to the stories of people who have experienced our event and have fallen in love with it: they are stories of skiing, of the feats of champions, but above all stories of people, of fathers, of grandparents, of brothers and friends. This is the sentiment that we try to communicate and renew. This sentiment has led us to the milestone of the first 70 editions, we hope it will carry us forward for at least as many more."
