From Bologna, Madonna announces lifts opening on November 19th

Despite a winter that seems still far away, so much to cause the 'false start' of the World Cup season, there is a crowd of snow enthusiasts who are only waiting for the first white layer to reconnect with the mountains, the slopes, and above all the magical atmosphere of Madonna di Campiglio.

The prestigious evening of the 3Tre on Tour on Thursday, October 27th in Bologna, among the works of art of a House-Museum Savini crowded with fans, only confirmed this feeling. Saying “3Tre” is enough to ignite enthusiasm, in Bologna especially as it evokes the great Alberto Tomba, but above all a wake of experiences and desires to escape towards an area of beauty, passion and well-being. The evening was attended, among others, by the President of the 3Tre Committee Lorenzo Conci, the President of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Board Tullio Serafini, the Director of Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Board Matteo Bonapace, the Councillor of the Municipality of Pinzolo Monica Bonomini, the President of the Appennino Emiliano FISI (Italian Winter Sports Federation) Committee Claudio Veltro, the President of the Veneto FISI Committee Roberto Visentin, the Director of the Corriere del Trentino, Veneto, Alto Adige and Bologna newspapers Alessandro Russello, the 2010 Olympic alpine skiing champion, Giuliano Razzoli and the 3Tre winner in 1986, Ivano Edalini.

Precisely on the occasion of the event in Bologna, the President and the Director of Madonna di Campiglio’s Tourist Board, Tullio Serafini and Matteo Bonapace, announced for November 19th and 20th the first weekend of winter opening of the lifts in the Grosté area: all that is missing is the first snow to switch on a tourist season that is increasingly long and focused on quality, as underlined by Serafini himself.

On the other hand, the date of the 3Tre number 69 has been well known for a long time: Thursday, December 22nd, is the day to mark on the fans' calendar as well as on Giuliano Razzoli's one.

"3Tre is a unique event as unique is the atmosphere that we athletes breathe in Campiglio - said the veteran of the Italian national slalom team, guest of honour of the evening in Bologna together with Ivano Edalini, winner on the 3Tre in 1986 -, and not only because it is our home race. From our side, every time we do our best to give emotions to a fantastic public. Years ago, I promised that one day I would win on Canalone Miramonti: age pushes on, but I still believe in the podium."

The family passion was among the focuses of the evening: that of the Savini family for art, for the mountains and for Madonna di Campiglio. That of the Bisti family for the so called "Pearl of the Dolomites" and its symbolic event, narrated through their pictures, as well as the legacy of the Conci family, from the father Fabio - among the historical founders of the 3Tre - and the son Lorenzo, President of the 3Tre Committee and newly elected FISI councillor.

"The reason why we care about evenings like this is that sport exists as long as there is passion. The message of the 3Tre on Tour is not only an invitation to live an extraordinary venue like Madonna di Campiglio, but also to live our sport, skiing, and certainly not only from a competitive point of view. Next year the 3Tre will be 70 years old, and only as long as there are enthusiastic families and new young people approaching skiing, we expect to live many years more".

The path of the 3Tre on Tour now continues towards Rome: the next appointment will be in fact on Thursday, November 10th, at the Sala Laudato Sì of the Campidoglio, venue of the Rome’s municipality.
