Madonna di Campiglio launches 2026 Winter Season at Ducati’s home in Bologna

On Thursday, December 4th, Bologna’s Ducati Auditorium hosted the presentation of Madonna di Campiglio’s January 2026 events, an occasion that brought together the worlds of skiing and motorsport. The Italian alpine destination introduced two flagship events: the 72nd 3Tre FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Night Slalom, taking place on January 7th, and the fourth edition of Campioni in Pista from January 18th to 20th, featuring the presentation of the Ducati Lenovo Team and the Desmosedici GP for the 2026 MotoGP season.

The Bologna event highlighted the long-standing connection between Ducati and Madonna di Campiglio, rooted in shared values of innovation, premium positioning and their membership in the Altagamma Foundation. Both brands are ambassadors of Italian excellence, combining technology, beauty and a forward-looking vision.

A WINTER OF INNOVATION IN MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO
Innovation is set to shape Madonna di Campiglio’s upcoming winter season. A key novelty is the introduction of the Numero Ideale, which limits daily ski-pass sales during peak periods (December 28th 2025 to January 5th 2026, and February 15th to 22nd 2026). With a daily cap of 14,000–15,000 skiers, the initiative aims to ensure a more exclusive and less crowded experience on the slopes.

Other forward-looking projects reinforce this direction, including La Via delle Valli, which enhances lesser-known hiking routes; Mpl – Mountain Progress Lab, created in collaboration with Audi to collect environmental and mobility data for future sustainable-transport strategies; and SKInnovation (December 10th–12th), the first Italian edition of the innovation and start-up festival on skis, connecting entrepreneurs and investors on the slopes.

The 3Tre will also debut new VIP Hospitality packages offering privileged access to the Canalone Miramonti slope.

3TRE TAKES THE CENTER STAGE ON JANUARY 7
The legendary 3Tre—Italy’s longest-running Alpine Ski World Cup event—was a focal point in Bologna, marking the fourth stop of the 3Tre on Tour after London, Milan and Oslo. The 2026 edition of the Italian Night Race will celebrate two major anniversaries: the 20th anniversary of Giorgio Rocca’s last Italian victory in 2005 and the 30th anniversary of Alberto Tomba’s final triumph in Madonna di Campiglio in 1995. Leading Italian hopes against top contenders such as Kristoffersen, Yule, Schwarz, defending champion Popov, Noel, Feller, Steen Olsen, Braathen Pinheiro, Haugan and McGrath will be South Tyrolean Alex Vinatzer.

Those attending the event at the Ducati Auditorium included Claudio Domenicali (Ducati CEO), Mauro Grassilli (Sporting Director of Ducati Corse), Tullio Serafini (President of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board), Matteo Bonapace (Tourism Board Director), Lorenzo Conci (President of the 3Tre Committee), Andrea Busignani (Head of Marketing, Communications and Events for the 3Tre Committee and Councillor for Major Events for the Municipality of Pinzolo), Bruno Felicetti (Director of Funivie Madonna di Campiglio), and Paolo Luconi Bisti (3Tre historian).

Hosted by Barbara Pedrotti, the event also welcomed 3Tre ambassador Giorgio Rocca and Ducati Corse rider Michele Pirro, who shared highlights from their careers across skiing and motorsport.
